I killed me a big one, a mênpŵgra matriarch. Good enough to become prideful - and foolish. It was my job to clear them out of the woods, them and other monsters, and I was damn good at it. The mênpŵgra find these places, hungry for the soul energies. Hangman trees, quicksand mires, deadfalls, and the like - places where people met their end. There be dark places in certain forests where souls linger after death. You found the gun, and I don't suppose anything I write here will convince you to put it back where you found it. I don't know if you be a graverobber or just an opportunistic knacker, but you've stepped into a mess in either case. The penned letters are blocky and deliberate. ![]() This gives both weapons the recovery time reduction from dual wielding and frees the need to swap weapons, but you lose the ability to use a shield and the accuracy bonus you would have normally gained if you were wielding each weapon by itself.A small, oilskin-wrapped letter lay with the arquebus in the grave. Dual wielding a ranged weapon with a melee weapon will have the character only shoot by default against targets outside of melee range, but use the melee weapon exclusively against targets in melee. Dual wielding pistols and blunderbusses reduces their loading time, just as with melee weapons, though firing a brace and switching to another set is still often faster. The biggest change to firearms in Deadfire is that Pistols and Blunderbusses are now 1-handed weapons.
